No Internet Subscription Option with Norton Antivirus

This was really driving me nuts. For weeks now, Norton Antivirus 2000 for Windows NT has been bugging me that my subscription is about to expire. However, when I clicked the clickables, the only option it gave was to phone a number; a number that is apparently always busy.
There used to be a way to do this over the Internet! Symantec's Web site wasn't of much help; in addition to providing two more useless phone numbers, it told me that I should upgrade all software components, something I've done already.

At long last, I found it. In the Registry, find the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Norton AntiVirus\DefAnnuity. Under this key, locate the DWORD value InternetEnable. If this value is zero, set it to 1.

I should hasten to add that despite this minor inconvenience, Norton Antivirus and its $9.95/year subscription is one of the best ways money can be spent...
